Dive boats gather at dusk. Divers hurry to gear
up for an adventure they've been anticipating since their arrival in
Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. One after the other they enter the water and
descend to the bottom 45 feet below where they form a large circle
around a central floodlight. Aiming their brilliant dive lights up
toward the surface, they turn to spot the incoming manta rays. And
then the ballet begins - mantas looping in graceful circles,
scooping up plankton attracted by the lights. Back on the dive boat
after an hour of exhilaration, divers shout' "Awesome, amazing,
unreal...."
